For spot and ongoing FCC gasoline sulfur control

Rezel-GSC is a proprietary additive designed with high hydrogen transfer activity, moderate cracking activity, and reduced cracking of olefinic hydrocarbons for FCC gasoline sulfur control. Rezel-GSC can be used on an ongoing basis, typically providing more than 40% reduction in gasoline sulfur, or on a spot basis for short-term gasoline sulfur control. Use of Rezel-GSC can allow a reduction in the operating severity of downstream FCC gasoline hydrotreaters. Gasoline hydrotreating typically results in 1-3 numbers loss in FCC gasoline RON. Reducing hydrotreating severity allows for recovery of some of the lost gasoline RON.

Rezel-GSC cracks sulfur containing hydrocarbons in much the same way the primary FCC catalyst cracks hydrocarbons. Due to inherent cracking activity and hydrogen transfer activity necessary to crack gasoline sulfur containing molecules, Rezel-GSC also has a net positive impact on product yields, primarily improved bottoms cracking, resulting in increased gasoline and LCO. Meanwhile, unlike some similar products that release sulfur as SOx in the regenerator, with Rezel-GSX sulfur is released as H2S in the reactor, and therefore, easily captured in the sulfur recovery plant.
