Rezel-ISO-Z is used in naphtha isomerization processes such as UOP’s Zeolitic processes to boost light naphtha octane and when feed sulfur is higher, up to 200 ppm, compared to Pt on chlorinated alumina catalysts that require less than 0.5 ppm feed sulfur.
In addition to a high resistance to feed impurities,Rezel-ISO-Z is designed for in-situ regeneration. The required operating temperature for Pt on zeolite catalysts, like Rezel-ISO-N, is higher compared to chlorinated alumina catalysts, in the range of 250 – 270 °C, and a H2/HC ratio of at 2.0 – 4.0 is about double that with Pt on chlorinated alumina catalysts.
