Rezel-EO catalysts are used to produce ethylene oxide in the direct oxidation processes and are comprised of silver in combination with other metals on alumina. EO is subsequently converted to EG, typically in a thermal process.
The Rezel-EO catalyst family includes Rezel-EOA high activity catalysts and Rezel-EOS high selectivity catalysts.
Rezel-EOA offers significantly higher initial activity and selectivity, producing up to 90% EO but requires higher purity ethylene feed.
Rezel-EOS offers high activity and excellent stability for longer catalyst life and is suitable for lower purity feedstocks.
